Summer has finally sprung and that means lounging by the pool, going on vacation and taking new adventures. Summer also means getting tan and golden by spending all that time in the sun which makes us have to switch up our makeup. Not only do you need a new foundation shade, but also new ways to make your makeup stay on longer and look fresh all day.
I have acne prone and oily skin and have tried an endless amount of products to get the right ones for my skin, and here is what I am using this summer that I am loving.
Color Correcting Concealer
First, I use the Urban Decay Color Correcting Concealer. This is a product that I use every season. I put this on right after my moisturizer to make my blemishes seem less prominent. It is a life changer and I highly recommend this product if you have blemishes that you would like to hide.
Bye Bye Breakout Concealer
The next product that I use is the Bye Bye Breakout Full-Coverage Concealer by IT Cosmetics. I love this product because it not only works as a great concealer but also helps to fight blemishes. It also works as a drying lotion to help fight acne.
Even Better Glow Foundation
The next product that I use is the Even Better Glow Foundation by Clinique. This foundation is perfect for summer because it is SPF 15 to give you some protection from the sun, and it also helps give you a brighter skin tone and reflects the light to make you look glowing and sun kissed.
Hoola Bronzer
After my foundation I dust on some of the Hoola Matte Bronzing Powder from Benefit Cosmetics. Dust a little bit of this in the hollows of your cheeks, nose, along your jawline, and neck to look more bronze and sun kissed.
Blush
To give my face some color I use the Bye Bye Pores Blush by IT Cosmetics. I use this blush in the shade Je Ne Sais Quoi. It is the perfect pink shade to give you some color and look more awake.
Highlight
To add more sparkle and shine to your summer makeup, I use the Illuminator by Iconic London. Add this to your cheekbones to really make them glow!
Powder
To keep my makeup in place and matte down my look a little bit, I use the Bye Bye Breakout Powder by IT Cosmetics. Like the concealer, this powder also helps to fight breakouts which is a plus if you have acne prone skin.
Lips
To finish my look, I use the Too Faced sweet Peach Creamy Lip Oil. It is a lip gloss that is infused with essence of peach, coconut oil and vitamin E that hydrates and softens your lips. They come in nice nude colors that are perfect for summer.
Setting Spray
To keep all of my makeup in place I use the All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray to make my makeup indestructible.
