In Sadie Robertson’s new book Live, she talks about how important it is to live life to the fullest and what it means to truly live. She gives insight on the Christian lifestyle and how we can live our life intentionally and with Jesus. She teaches many valuable life lessons throughout her book that I think everyone should read and live by.
There’s More To Come
In this chapter Sadie talks about how we all have bad days. But that bad day does not determine your life. We all go through struggles. A bad day does not mean it is a bad life. We go through tough seasons, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. God always has a bigger and better plan. In this chapter she gives us hope and encouragement to get through the season we are in and put our trust in the Lord.
Have Fun
In this chapter she talks about how we can have fun in the seasons of waiting. She talks about her acronym, Faith United gets Noisy. First you have to have faith and if you have faith, life can be a little easier knowing that God is in control. Next is United. If we become united with God, our faith will grow stronger and we will be more connected with him. And finally there is Noisy. We should get loud and noisy for Jesus, loud in our praises, even when he has not yet fully answered our prayers. Pray out loud and worship with intensity for the things he has done and the things to come.
Boom! Roasted
This chapter really stuck with me. She talks about how as humans we are imperfect and it is inevitable that we are going to mess up. There will be haters in our lives but we should not let them stop us from reaching our goals and living our best lives.
“Don’t let the haters stop you from fully living”
Where Confidence Comes From
In this chapter Sadie talks about how we should have confidence. It is sometimes difficult to have confidence in ourselves, but she helps give us tools so we can work on building our confidence up. She talks about how it is a mindset and we have every reason to be confident in who we are.
“We can place our confidence in Godand truly live rooted in his never changing love.”
From Liked to Loved
Love is such an important thing in our lives. We all want to be loved and to love others. We spend our lives looking for it. When we are liked by someone, it does not stick as much as when we are loved. Being loved means so much more to us and we cherish it so much more. But it is not just a feeling, it is an action that we need to work towards and build every day.
“Love is a commitment and an action”
Tell the Lions to Shut Their Mouths
In this chapter, Sadie talks about the bible story of Daniel in the lions den and how he was thrown to hungry lions, but his faith in God saved him and God shut the lions mouths. In this chapter she talks about how we should be like Daniel and trust God with our greatest fears. We should face our fears and when we face our greatest fears we experience great freedom.
“Don’t let the lions stop you from living. Face them with faith.”
Believe, Belong, Become
This chapter really stuck with me as well. Sadie talks about how if we believe in Jesus, we belong to his kingdom and we become more like him. We become more Christ- like. That is something we should strive for every day. She talks about how he made each of us special and gives us all a purpose. Jesus gives us freedom to be who we are meant to be.
These are just a few chapters that I held close to my heart and really made an impact on me. If you are looking for a life changing book, then this is it! Pick up a copy and I promise, you will not be disappointed!
