What To Do On Halloween When In College And Too Old To Trick Or Treat

As  college students, we are too old to walk around the neighborhood and go trick or treating, but we still want to do something fun for this holiday. Here are some age appropriate things to do on Halloween.

Movie Marathon

Have a classic Halloween movie marathon with all of your friends. Pop some popcorn and enjoy all of these classics that will get you in the spooky spirit.

  • Hocus Pocus
  • Halloweentown
    • Halloweentown
    • Halloweentown 2 Kalabar’s Revenge
    • Halloweentown High
    • Return to Halloweentown
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Casper
  • Casper Meets Wendy
  • Beetlejuice
  • The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
  • Twitches
  • The Haunted Mansion

Dress Up

Just because you can’t go door to door and asking for candy from your neighbors doesn’t mean that you can’t dress up. Dress up with your friends and eat candy. Dress up as your favorite characters and be someone else for a night and have fun with your friends.

Bake

There are so many fun halloween/fall themed baked goods that you can make with your friends. Pumpkin is now in season so bake all the pumpkin based goods that you can while the season is here. You will miss eating all of the pumpkin bread possible when it is gone.

Find a Halloween Party

If you really feel like letting loose and getting freaky, then try to find a halloween party. There are probably multiple halloween parties going on around your school. Ask around and you should be able to find one. Have fun, dance, dress up and stay safe!

Eat Candy

Buy all of your favorite Halloween candy and eat it yourself and with your friends while you watch all of your favorite Halloween movies or tell scary stories.

Pumpkin Carving

Go to your local pumpkin patch and grab a pumpkin and some carving tools and carve some pumpkins with your friends. Make it a contest, have fun with it, then roast the seeds when you are done. Double the fun!

Sleep

Halloween is not for everyone. Let’s be honest, we are tired and broke college students. Sleep might be what sounds best for you. Take care of yourself and go to bed early.

Halloween is a fun time of year. There are so many fun things to do. Have fun, dress up, eat candy and carve pumpkins. Embrace the fall weather and all the fun things to do during this time of year, unfortunately it won’t last forever.
